My studio is currently full of flowers and clay as I create beautiful tactile bas-relief artworks using an ancient method called imprint casting. It’s a press-mould technique dating back thousands of years, where I arrange and press real flowers and foliage into clay, pick out the flowers and fill the impression with plaster—preserving the flower’s impression as permanent art.
A few months ago I opened an Etsy shop and I’m really enjoying the experience and challenges this has brought my way. I’ve also decided online selling is a platform that can work well for me so I will be adding a shop to this site soon.
But I have to tell you, selling online is time-consuming! Taking photos, coming up with accurate and interesting descriptions, measurements, working out the best and safest way to post. It has been a long hard few months and has taken so much time that I’ve hardly painted at all, now I feel like I know what I’m doing I can step back a little and start painting again :)
I bought myself some gorgeous watercolors and am loving the whimsical feel I have when painting with them.
I’ve been happily painting in my studio, the kids and I are looking at getting a new kitten and I’m going to Bali for 3 weeks in November. Life is hectic! which makes posting on here a challenge at times, but it’s all good things keeping me busy :)

Finished and SOLD :)
I'm still soldering, with sea glass it's easy to make beautiful creations. One piece has most of the word Sydney, another throws a rabbit shadow, that was a surprise lol. There are some gorgeous aquas and lavender and also some with amber beer bottle glass,,,, I'm calling these 'drunken sailors' :)

These past few weeks I have spent every spare minute either sea glass hunting or working in my studio. I've been painting, working with glass and generally trying to make my hands go as fast as my brain, it never works I can't keep up with myself lol.
These photos show the making of a Tiffany style sea glass candle holder I finished yesterday.
If it's done well Tiffany work is laborious, there are many steps to follow both before you can solder and afterwards to ensure the finished work will last. I've been soldering now for over fifteen years and love the challenges created as I aim for the solder to be as much a part of the beauty as the glass. I spend way too long adding little solder beads, creating smooth channels and raised ridges, the end result is always worth it!
Just need to polish this up and I'll add it to my gallery of works for sale.

Beautiful at night with a candle
I have actually painted the basic colours for the fish and changed the background colour three times, from white to blue, then black and back to a blue/white combo lol. Just having trouble downloading the photos, but this gives you an idea. More cute fish :)
Fiddled with this over the last few days, now I love it so much that’s it’s hanging in my lounge room. This little moonlit tree painted late at night has a wonderful peaceful ambiance.
'Moonbeams and Mars' .... yes I googled our skies to make sure Mars is where it should be! Last week I thought this painting was finished, I even took it to the markets and put it on insta...this week I've decided it needs a tree so it's back on my easel. Lets see what happens this weekend :)
